Evelyne BRADER-FRANK
Evelyne BRADER-FRANK was born in Switzerland and grew up in an artistically gifted family. Influenced by her grandfather, a landscape painter, and her brother, a surrealist painter, Evelyne had the opportunity to experiment with various expressive mediums, including pencil, watercolor, and airbrush. After completing a banking apprenticeship, Evelyne enrolled in her first sculpture course in 1990. Unlike other artistic techniques, sculpture allowed her to express herself in three dimensions.
At the end of 1994, Evelyne left Switzerland and moved to Alberta, Canada, where she expanded her work to include bronze, concrete, and ice. She established herself as a recognized sculptor and is now successfully represented by leading galleries in Canada and Switzerland. Evelyne’s dynamic male and female figures celebrate the forms and the beautiful stones from which they come to life. Fascinated by classical mythology, she names her sculptures after figures from Greek and Roman mythology, seeking a connection between a figure and the emotions she wishes to convey in a new piece.
Evelyne Brader-Frank currently lives and works near Zurich, Switzerland.
