European Young Orchestra & Marco Vratogna

Presentation

The European Young Orchestra, consisting of young professionals, performed at the Teatro Civico Roberto de Silva in Rho – Milan. The young people were conducted by conductor Luigi Fabbri, a great professional, who has conducted concerts with numerous orchestras, served on several juries and published a study on F.J. Haydn’s ‘Missa in tempore belli’. We had the honour of welcoming Anna Maria Cigoli, an award-winning pianist and popular teacher. She completed her musical studies at the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Milan, where she graduated at only 14 years of age in piano and later in composition and harpsichord. The Ludwig van Beethoven music programme enchanted the audience. Opening the evening was Marco Vratogna, one of the world’s most acclaimed Italian baritones. He has sung the major Verdi, Puccini and Verismo roles on the world’s major stages, under the baton of Nicola Luisotti, Lorin Maazel, Andrew Davis, Marco Armiliato and Renato Palumbo, among others. He has appeared in theatres such as Teatro alla Scala in Milan, ROH Covent Garden in London, MET in New York, Wiener Staatsoper, Liceu in Barcelona, Teatro Real in Madrid, Lyric Opera of Chicago, San Francisco Opera, New National Theatre Tokyo, New Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv, Staatsoper die Berlin, Arena di Verona and Teatro La Fenice in Venice. Accompanying the baritone on the piano was pianist Aliano Frediani.
