Cookies make it possible, in particular, to determine the frequency of use and number of users of the pages, to analyse behaviour patterns of page use, but also to make our offer more customer-friendly. Cookies remain stored beyond the end of a browser session and can be retrieved when you visit the site again. If you do not wish this to happen, you should set your internet browser so that it refuses to accept cookies..

A general objection to the use of cookies for online marketing purposes can be declared for a large number of services, especially in the case of tracking, via the US website http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU website http://www.youronlinechoices.com/. Furthermore, the storage of cookies can be achieved by deactivating them in the browser settings. Please note that not all functions of this online offer can then be used.

Use of SSL/TLS encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries that you send to us as the site operator. This information is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The IP address is shortened by activating IP anonymization (“anonymizeIP”) on our website before transmission within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area, such as in Switzerland. The anonymized IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. In these cases, we ensure through contractual guarantees, in particular through the agreement of the EU standard contract clauses and additional measures, that Google maintains an adequate level of data protection

Social Media Plugins

We have integrated social media plugins from various social networks on our website. These social media plugins can be, for example, the “Like button” or other functionalities, e.g. sharing website content on social networks. You can recognize the social media plugins by the logos of the relevant social networks.

In order to ensure data protection on our website, we only use these plugins together with the so-called “Shariff” solution. This application prevents the plugins integrated on our website from transferring data to the respective provider the first time you visit the website. A direct connection to the provider’s server is only established (consent) when you activate the respective plugin by clicking on the associated button. As soon as you activate the plugin, the respective provider receives the information that you have visited our website with your IP address. If you are logged into your respective social media account (e.g. Facebook) at the same time, the respective provider can assign the visit to our website to your user account. If you want to prevent this, you should log out before clicking on the plugin. An assignment takes place in any case if you log into the corresponding network after clicking on the plugin.

Activating the plugin represents consent to data processing. You can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future.

We have integrated plugins from the following social networks into the website:

Who we share your personal information with

We may share your personal information with trusted third parties, including to:

  • Vendors to whom we have outsourced certain support services;
  • IT service provider;
  • Third parties who are also involved in the provision of our services, such as payment service providers or credit card issuers.

 For the purposes set out in this statement and where deemed necessary, we may disclose personal information to courts, law enforcement, regulatory, governmental, law enforcement and enforcement agencies. We may also be required to share your personal information to comply with legal and regulatory requirements

Countries to which we transfer your personal data

We can transmit your personal data to recipients abroad, including countries that do not guarantee an equivalent level of data protection as Swiss law (especially the USA). We will normally make such a transfer if this is necessary for the performance of a contract with the data subject(s), for a contract with a data subject, or for the performance of a contract which is entered into in their interests and for asserting, enforcement or defense of legal claims is necessary. If we transfer data to a country without adequate legal data protection, we ensure an adequate level of protection as required by law by using appropriate contracts (specifically on the basis of the so-called standard contractual clauses of the European Commission) or so-called binding corporate rules or rely on the statutory Exceptions to the consent, the execution of the contract, the determination, exercise or enforcement of legal claims, overriding public interests, the published personal data or because it is necessary to protect the integrity of the persons concerned. You can obtain a copy of the mentioned contractual guarantees from us at any time. However, we reserve the right to black out copies or only deliver excerpts for reasons of data protection or secrecy. Some of the third-party service providers mentioned in this data protection declaration are based in the USA. For the sake of completeness, we would like to point out to users who are domiciled or domiciled in Switzerland or the EU that there are surveillance measures by US authorities in the USA, which generally prohibit the storage of all personal data of all persons whose data are from Switzerland or the EU were transmitted to the USA. This is done without differentiation, limitation or exception based on the objective pursued and without an objective criterion that allows the US authorities to access the data and their subsequent use to be limited to very specific, strictly limited purposes that are consistent with both the able to justify access to this data as well as the interference associated with its use. In addition, we would like to point out that there are no legal remedies in the USA for data subjects from Switzerland or the EU that allow them to access the data concerning them and to obtain their correction or deletion, or no effective one legal protection against general access rights by US authorities. We explicitly point out this legal and factual situation to those affected so that they can make an informed decision to consent to the use of their data. We would like to point out to users residing in Switzerland or a member state of the EU that the USA does not have an adequate level of data protection from the point of view of the European Union and Switzerland – among other things due to the topics mentioned in this section. Insofar as we have explained in this data protection declaration that recipients of data (such as Google) are based in the USA, we will ensure through contractual arrangements with these companies and any additional necessary suitable guarantees that your data will be stored with our partners with an appropriate level are protected.

Use of processors

For the processing, the persons responsible can arrange for the data to be passed on to one or more processors (e.g. zahls.ch, etc.), who also use the personal data exclusively for internal use attributable to the persons responsible. The following processors process personal data in third countries of those responsible (partly outside of Switzerland and outside of the European Union):

Zahls.ch
The payment is processed via the payment service provider Zahls.ch, operated by Siebenberge gmbh, Toggenburgerstrasse 29, 9652 Neu St. Johann SG, Switzerland, to whom we pass on information about your order (invoice amount, currency and transaction number) as part of the ordering process. Your data will only be passed on for the purpose of payment processing. You can find more information on data protection at zahls.ch at

WooCommerce

We have integrated the open-source shop system WooCommerce as a plugin on our website. This plugin is owned by a subsidiary of Automattic Inc. (60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110, USA). The data that you actively enter in a text field is saved and collected. This applies in particular to e-mail addresses, names and addresses, but also credit cards and billing information. Automattic Inc. is entitled to use this information in connection with marketing campaigns.

  • IP address

  • Date and time of web access

This data is used by Automattic Inc. to analyze the traffic on your website and is deleted again after about 30 days.

WooCommerce uses so-called pixel tags (web beacons) and cookies so that, for example, your shopping cart is retained even when you leave the web shop. You are free to activate or deactivate cookies in your browser settings. However, this can lead to problems with the online shop.

Automattic Inc. is an active participant in the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, which regulates the correct and secure transfer of personal data. For more information, see
